LCC's Rants & Raves: The Bachelor (week 3)

First and foremost, how darn dreamy is Juan Pablo? I don't think it can get much better then this. And I will defiantly say that they don't make men like that around my neck of the woods. Maybe not in this country at all. ha-ha (get it?) so every Monday I am counting down the hours until the bachelor comes on, probably like most women in America. And more times then not, I am screaming my opinions at the TV. So I had this great Idea to include my opinions of the show each week on the blog.

But before I get started, I want to state that these are my opinions and you know how the old saying goes, "They are like buttholes, everyone has one."

How I feel towards Cory when the bachelor is on.*

Week Three: So at this point, I am madly in love with Juan Pablo.. no but really he seems to be an amazing guy on the inside as well as the outside. I love how he pays special attention to Cassandra and Renee due to them being mothers. He does not want to take up their time If he is not feeling a spark with them, and I love that. Men take note.

As far as the girls go, I do not have one favorite girl as of now, but I do have a few that I really like and I have a few that I do not think would be the right choice for him. Lets start out with who got eliminated last night. Lucy, I did not recognize any chemistry between these two at all, and I am honestly surprised she didn't leave sooner.  Christy, never really stuck out to me, the rose ceremony last night is the only thing that I remember about her. Maybe I didn't pay enough attention?

So far, I really like Nikki, Renee, Kat, Cassandra, and Sharlenne. I feel that they are guinely sweet girls and they have a good head on their shoulders. There was A lot of drama on the show this last episode because all of the girls blaming the other girls of being "Attention Whores", come on really? who would not be an attention whore with Juan Pablo, or just being on the bachelor period. I feel that there are so many girls that you need to do something to stand out and to separate yourself from all the other girls.

I can't put my finger on it, but there is something about Andi that makes me not like her at all. I will be sure to tell you what that is exactly when I figure it out. I thought that I liked Elise, but in this episode she really showed her true colors with all the trash talking she did about Chelise due to her own insecurities. Nobody needs a women like this in their life. Clare, well she is very possessive. This can be a good or bad thing depending on the situation, we will just have to continue to see how this goes.  I so call psycho crazy. Not sure why Danielle is still in the running. Kelli, is 27 and her occupation is a "dog lover" enough said. Then there is sweet little Chelise, I have not made my mind up about her yet. She is very outgoing and a girl that you will always have a good time with. But she is extremely awkward to me. I'm hoping that this is just her being nervous and that this will all die down.

I will be counting down the days until the new episode of the bachelor airs, and from the previews it is going to be very interesting as always.

What are your predictions? How do you feel about the girls? I would love to know, please comment in the box down below!

Makeup Removers and their Mistakes..

Who doesn't love makeup removers? Im one of… well lets be honest, every girl in the world that could not imagine my night time routine without these little life savers. BUT makeup removers are often the cause of women making one of the biggest skin care mistakes. How often do you grab your makeup remover wipe, wipe off your makeup very well and then call it quits? I myself, was guilty of this for years and years. Well if you do, then you probably notice that your skin is not as clear as you hope for. You may also notice blemishes more times then not.

This is because you are removing your makeup, but not actually cleansing your face. Your makeup might look like it is gone, but in reality it is still in your pores. Clogged pores = Zachary the zit. Am I the only one that is weird and names my zits? I just feel like when they are big enough to take up a whole zip code then they must have a name. Weird I know.

So the next time your using a makeup remover of any sort, cleanse your face thoroughly afterwards with a mild face wash, I also recommend an exfoliator once to twice a week, and of course never skip face/eye cream!

Here is a few of my every night face care products:

and here are two items that I am hoping to be able to add to my skin care routine soon.

Product Review: Covergirl Bombshell Mascara

There are a million new products in the drugstore, and of course I want them all. yes, I may have a little bit of an obsession and the overflow of new product displays is not helping one bit.

I had a very hard time deciding on which new products to buy first, but since I was in the market for a new mascara, I decided to skip repurchasing my everyday go to loyal Covergirl Clump Crusher and try out this new Covergirl Bombshell mascara and lets be honest the cute packaging and the word "Bombshell" alone had me sold.

First off, Let me tell you a little bit about my lashes. I am extremely blessed to have long thick eyelashes. Most of the time any mascara will "do the job" however, I like to find products that will go above and beyond.

Covergirl Claims:  " Mega volume and dark intensity in one mascara for an over the top bombshell look from Cover Girl. Step 1 volumize - load on for unbelievably big volume - Step 2 - intensify - seal in with one coat for an intense, dark all day finish. Beautifully separated lashes. "

Texture/Finish: I love the overall volume and length that the bombshell mascara provides, I feel like my lashes look extremely volumized and I couldn't ask for anymore length. I purchased the product in the color, very black and I feel that it is very pigmented. HOWEVER, I hate how my lashes feel after to product has dryed. It leaves my lashes feeling hard, flakey, and brittle.

Lasting Power: The product lasts for at least 8+ hours with the occasional flakes. It honestly lasts so long that I find myself having the hardest time trying to remove the mascara even with the best of eye makeup removers.

Scent: no strong oder, just the typical mascara scent. does mascara even smell?

Packaging: I personally love the packaging of the product. The product has a basic technique of applying two different types of mascara combined in one product which is convenient. I also feel with how wide the tube is that there is good amounts of mascara in each separate container.

Price & Availability: about $9.oo (I purchased mine from my local Walgreens). I have seen this product at Wal*mart, Target, Cvs, etc. So it is not hard to get your hands on it.

Pros:
  • Appearance of my lashes.
  • Lives up to the Claims.
  • Convenience: combines the technique of two different mascara in one product
  • Packaging
  • Lasting power
  • Availability in the drugstore.
  • Very pigmented
Cons:
  • Damages my lashes.
  • Difficulty in removing the product.
  • Occasional flakes

Love it or Leave it? : I personally do not LOVE this product, however I do LIKE it. It will not be a daily mascara for me because of how the product longterm would damage my lashes. I will keep this one in the drawer for special events or when I need long hour lasting hold. If Covergirl ever makes this with a new gentler formula, I will be the first in line to purchase!
